Once something is desided on with regards to the TPTCG it goes in here.

GAMEPLAY

So far the gameplay is going to be a platform shooter.

Needs quite a bit of expanding on if you ask me.

GRAPHICS

Graphics are respective of each members "level".How big each of these will be,with regards to both the amount of rooms in them and the size of them, is undesided.

Resolution(AKA view size),is unknown as of now.
I sugest 300x250.

MUSIC

Nothing yet

SOUND

Nothing yet.
Mabe SFXR?

LEVEL DESIGN

As each level will be made by an individual member of TPT,i expect level design to vary in quality.

DESIGN

Nothing has been decided as far as i know.

Me and Jimlike the idea of the R1k gun,and i don't think anyone objects to it,so i'll put that down :lol:

Almost missed this.
I have a small question, Are we using gamemaker? I assume so, but I'll need to know soon, as I'm going to re buy the darn thing.

In what way? elaborate. Are you talking about how certain aspects will effect game play? Enemies, how hard should they be? How terrain will effect the character? how each world will effect the player(gravity wise or speed in which the character moves)? What will we lmit ourselves to and each level to? etcetera

Awesome, but I don't think we should limit ourself to how many usernames are used in the game, Batboy, crozier would be awesome generic enemies etcetera. I really like the rhyme in words between "Fawful" and "awful", He would make an epic only boss(well see where this goes), Photo would be a main character we play( Its an original name and look at that two of our Admin would playing big parts, only fitting).

In not really for the idea of a real member playing the lead role for some reason.


As for being me being some kind of important villainous figure im in huge favor of.

Pretty much,i suppose the levels will play out however each person does them.

Indeed, I was thinking that members should be (some kind of) gods that would help guide the player through their stages. The main character should be a total newcomer, we don't wanna put somebody in front of the other members, so I'm against that idea too.

This is just a bit of extra stuff and I'm not sure we need to be working on this yet and if it would work, but here's something I just thought up.

It sort of builds off previous ideas but, what if the game was sort of like someone working their way around the forum. Like when the game starts off they're in the Rules section as like a tutorial level. Then they progress through the Game Creations and WIPs section maybe going through a level that looks like "Surreal". And then finally arriving at the teh practice topic level. In the background you might see member drawn avatars and sprites, or part of their comments in the board.

I don't know if it could be used in the game but that's my idea for now.

Thats cool and all,but im for the freedom of each person making there own level acording to what they feel like doing.

I think it's going to be interesting seeing what people do with it.

But we don't want to do a ton of stuff that isn't neccessary.
Ex. Voice clips of each player is a little going overboard.
Each level should be what the creator wants.
We also don't want to overcomplicate things.
Bob, no offence but I dislike your idea. Sorry...
Everything should be uniquely made by each player.

Doesn't there need to be some kind of main character first?

If each level is going to be drawn by different members of the forum, will the main character be redrawn in a different style in each level?

@ 11Clock

Before we start making the levels theres a somethings that need to be done first;
-Engine.This here engine isn't the final thing,it needs some editing to be used for the game.Like guns,basic enemy base and health/lives system.

-How it going to be done.Seriously this is an important question that we need some ideas on.

We could put out the engine for people to download and make their level.when finished we then merge them into the main game file.Downfall with that is there will be duplicate sprites/objects.I personaly would like to avoid this option.

Or we could do it in one file and hand it around to the next person when you've finished your level.
I personaly like this idea.
